If relating to your body feels like learning a whole new language, you're not alone!
Join dia for a practical & playful wander-workshop online, to help you become more fluent in the weird poetry of your body.
Together, we’ll explore embodied awareness... from expanding your vocabulary of body sensations, to using descriptive language & imagery to make sense of what you’re feeling. You'll leave with simple practices to help you notice with curiosity, name what you're feeling, express it to others, and feel creative & playful as you explore somatics.
When
Thursday 29th January, 7.00pm – 8.30pm GMT
online on Zoom
What to expect
Invitations into somatic practice, sensing, sharing (with voice or in chat), movement, visualisation, play, and reflection as a group. Shared opening & closing rituals. Music. Short break halfway through.
You might enjoy this workshop if you
want to bring a sense of lightness into your embodiment practice
can access some curiosity / non-judgement / self-compassion around sensations, thoughts & feelings that arise
want to feel, within a queer intersectional space that honours the wholeness of your living realities
may experience chronic pain and/or may identify as neurodivergent, and want simple practices that feel accessible & sustainable

- Workshop recording (video, audio & transcript)

A garden of recorded workshops is being slowly seeded here, so that people who can’t access live workshops can also receive this offering. As well as being sent to participants, the Zoom recording of this workshop will also be available as a long-term sliding-scale offering on this website as part of the Garden Series. I will remind participants of this at the beginning of the workshop, so that you can be in choice about how you take part live.
If you can't come along live, you will receive the recorded workshop recording & Companion Plants pdf within 36 hours after the live workshop date.
Gathering Agreements
By gathering together in a liminal workshop space, we get to practice co-creating the world we're envisioning! By participating, we agree to practice:
- offering & receiving invitation without expectation
- being in choice, being with what is here now & attending to our needs
- going gently, to honour our individual capacity & our edges
- experimentation, away from from ideas of what's right
- embodied care & respect within an intersectional & multiracial space
