Solidarity Statement
I stand in solidarity with those experiencing racialised oppression and domination globally.
My work is and always will be deeply influenced by:
- my formative experiences in loving community with asylum seekers
- my relationships with loved ones in Sudan who have been made refugees by ongoing conflict
- my living understanding of the ways different systems of oppression reinforce each other and enact harm
- my living experience as a mixed-heritage Black British person
Solidarity Statement for BIPOC people on the impact of the UK fascist riots
If you, like me, are a BIPOC person, refugee, or racially-marginalised person in the UK, I am sending you extra love this summer. I understand and acknowledge the massive retraumatising impact that the riots, and collective response, has had - on our sense of safety, our relationship with the word community, and our wellbeing. I understand the ways racialised oppression, both experienced directly and violence witnessed globally towards people who look like us, disrupts our capacity to feel peace.
My free online BIPOC group spaces are an invitation for you to just be, to soften into community. You are always so welcome here. Click here to book your free place.
